The Oregon Brownfields Conference is designed to target the educational needs of Brownfields practitioners – from long-time Brownfields professionals to those just entering into the process of transforming old contaminated sites into productive properties. Sustainabilitylive! 2010

Here is an event for those Brownfield professionals with the wherewithall and budget to travel overseas: Brownfields Expo 2010 is being held April 20-22 in Birmingham, England. The Expo is part of Sustainabilitylive!, a five-part environmental conference that includes exhibitors, seminars, conferences and interactive features. In addition to Brownfields, the conference will cover environmental technology, water and effluent technology, renewable energy, and sustainable business practices, strategies and processes.
Southern Idaho Brownfields Redevelopment Workshop
April 21, 2010, Pocatello, Idaho
The Idaho DEQ and EPA Region 10 will co-host a Brownfields outreach and information workshop for the Pocatello region April 21. The meeting will be held at the DEQ Regional Office, 444 Hospital Way, #300, in Pocatello. Although the workshop is still in the planning stage, organizers plan to present information about how to move Brownfield sites toward redevelopment. Topics may include:
- The Brownfields redevelopment process
- Finding your communities Brownfields/building an inventory
- Due diligence/site assessment
- Liability issues
- Funding for Brownfields redevelopment, including EPA and state grants
The target audience for the workshop includes city planners, economic development and urban renewal agencies, private developers and anyone with an interest in learning more about Brownfields.
